We spent 37 days exploring the mountain towns of Colorado in search of cooler weather. We did indeed find cooler temperatures including below freezing temperatures several mornings, but overall the weather was fantastic allowing us to hike and bike daily in comfort. We returned to our favorite Telluride and Aspen, but added Crested Butte and Steamboat Springs which were new to us on this trip. We loved both of these new towns and hope to explore further next year. Colorado is one of our favorite places and somewhere we come back to over and over again and are never disappointed.
Stayed tuned as we return to Colorado to pick up the van and drive east with stops in the Midwest to visit family and friends before pushing on to Maine, Nova Scotia, Cape Breton and Prince Edward Island where we plan to spend the remainder of the summer.
